Amy Hevron

Author-illustrator Amy Hevron lives in Seattle, Washington. She draws inspiration from wildlife, nature, and travel. Amy is a two-time winner of the Portfolio Honor Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Originally from Texas, she attended Texas State University where she received a BFA in Graphic Design. Recently, she earned a certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the University of Washington. Her medium of choice is acrylic on wood. Amy’s debut picture book, Trevor, written by Jim Averbeck, received starred reviews from Kirkus and School Library Journal. Her author-illustrator debut, Dust Bunny Wants a Friend, arrives in January 2019. And her next book, Moon Babies, written by Karen Jameson, arrives in July 2019. Prior to focusing on illustration, Amy worked as an art director and designer at design firms and game companies.
