Erin Kraan

Erin was raised in a family of woodworkers, sewists and painters, crafters who greatly influenced her chosen illustration medium: woodcut printing. She loves the process of carving her characters into wood and seeing how their quirky and whimsical identities come to life through the ink in the prints. If she could choose where and how to spend her time, it would be carving and doodling endlessly beside a lake, or trailblazing through the woods with her German Wirehaired Pointer, Freya. SOMETHING'S WRONG! (written by #1 New York Times bestselling author Jory John) published in March 2021 and was an instant Canadian bestseller. Nerdycorn (written by Andrew Root), Erin's second book, debuted on the Pacific Northwest Independent Bookseller’s bestseller list.

Big mugs of milky coffee, cozy socks, chickadees, smelly candles, and the color green.
