Sabina Gibson

Sabina Gibson is a textile artist known for her soft sculpture design. She uses her needle and thread to tell stories, and brings her animal characters to life through the use of clever photography and delicate homemade settings. Sabina's author debut, UNICORN MAGIC, was published by Scholastic in 2018. Since, UNICORN MAGIC has sold more than 100,000 copies. In 2019, Sabina illustrated Nancy Siscoe's SNOW MUCH FUN—a charming picture book about the joys of a snowy day. “This tale of friends enjoying wintry activities at home and out in the snowy world is downright charming," raved Kirkus. In 2020, Sabina illustrated Nancy Siscoe's next story, FRIENDSGIVING—a cozy autumn picture book, featuring a sweet and universal take on Thanksgiving. School Library Journal called it "a secular harvest celebration that fills a need in all collections.” Recently, Sabina has been working on her own board book series for Random House, entitled LITTLE LOVES. The four books will publish this summer. In addition to making picture books, Sabina also designs toys and products for Crate and Barrel. Sabina lives in Canada.
