Alice Bradley

Alice Bradley portrait

Alice has spent 30 years crafting words with wit and wisdom, carving out a career that blends sharp humor with heartfelt storytelling. From her time as Senior Parenting Editor at SHE Media to Editor-in-Chief of Lifehacker, she has brought laughs to readers at Salon, The Onion, Redbook, and more. Twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize—once for nonfiction and a second time in the fiction category—Alice also co-wrote the humor book Let’s Panic About Babies! (Macmillan, 2011), proving her knack for finding comedy in chaos.

More recently, Alice channels her quick wit into coaching writers through self-doubt with a wink and a nudge, helping them turn panic into punchlines and projects into polished manuscripts. She writes The Fainting Couch newsletter, a “non-serious report” of whatever’s going on in her head—and her more than 2,500 subscribers can’t get enough.

Newly settled in the Hudson Valley with her husband and a small dog named Leo—who has vowed to chase the local groundhog out from under their shed each spring—Alice is gearing up to make her debut as a children’s book author with three forthcoming titles under contract with Penguin.
